We have a great selection of rare bulbs and lilies. Bulbs and lilies are available throughout the year.

16 Cyrtanthus Elatus x Montanus (rare)

Cyrtanthus elatus × Cyrtanthus montanus is a vigorous evergreen hybrid. The bulbs get very large and blooming was improved when the bulbs were grown in a deeper pot.It is very drought tolerant. Flowers vibrant red to red-orange in summer

19 Louisiana Iris mixed

They are versatile, hardy, fast growing, low maintenance and can grow in just about any kind of soil providing they receive well-rotted compost/manure from late winter to early spring. They flower mainly in Spring/early summer. Flowers last 2-3 days and there are usually 3-8 flower buds on each stem.

They require a lot of sun to flower well but can be planted in semi or dappled shade but then the flowering is less. The rhizome must be covered by 3-7cm of soil. Water very well.  Louisiana Irises love water and can be grown in boggy areas and in pots in ponds.

Price is per single rhizome.

20 Hymenocallis littoralis "Spider Lily"

Spider lilies are striking accent plants in a mixed border. They are also very much at home as pot plants on patios. The bulbs are large and should be planted with necks at ground level. The soil should be rich in organic matter such as good compost and must be well drained. Spider lilies prefer filtered light. Partial shade under trees will provide this.

2301 Scadoxus Membrinaceus

Scadoxus membranaceus is indigenous to South Africa and found in coastal forests of the Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal. It grows in partial to deep shade among rocks, along the river banks and sea-facing dunes. The size of the leaves and flowerhead is distinctive, depending on the distribution. The very miniature forms grow as high as 180 mm, whereas the quite robust ones, grow as high as 400 mm. It thrives in filtered sunlight and does not go dormant.

On offer are mature flowering size bulbs
