Are you open to visits from the public?
We are only open by appointment.
We sell mainly via our online store and during our Open Weekends held in flowering season.
When is the best time to visit Utopia Clivias?
Our peak flowering time is September, so the best time to visit is September to early October to experience the maximum number of blooms.
What are the shipping costs within South Africa?
Shipping is automatically calculated at checkout.
Courier door-to-door up to 5kg – R200
5kg to 10kg – R350
10kg to 15kg – R470
Over 15kg – R650
A collect from nursery option is available for plants, seedlings and bulbs only.
What courier do you use for South African orders?
We use the Courier Guy Door-to-Door service.
How can I track my South African shipping order?
You can track your order online by clicking Track Order using your Courier Guy tracking number.
My country does not appear at checkout—what do I do?

Proceed through checkout to our secure payment options (Payfast & Paystack).

Orders must be a minimum of R450 including shipping.
If the issue persists, contact us or WhatsApp us and we will gladly help.
I see an error saying “There are no payment gateways available for this order.”
This usually means your order is below the R450 minimum.

What international shipping options are available?
Shipping methods depend on your country’s regulations. Examples include:

DHL Express + Phytosanitary Certificate – R800 + R1200
DHL Express + Small Seed Lot Permit (USA only)

What are the international shipping costs to my country?

What is a Phytosanitary Certificate?
A certificate issued by the South African Department of Agriculture confirming plant material is free of pests and diseases.
Mandatory for most countries, including all EU member states.
What is a Small Seed Lot Import Permit? (USA only)
A USDA-issued permit allowing import of small seed lots without a phytosanitary certificate.

I just paid for my seed order—when will it be shipped?
Seeds are harvested in June and dispatched from the end of July to the end of August.
You will receive a tracking number or email notification.
When will my plant, seedling or bulb order be shipped? (South Africa only)
Shipments go out on Mondays.
Orders must be placed before 12 pm Saturday to be shipped the following Monday.
Tracking numbers are emailed once dispatched.
