Shipping schedule (For orders within South Africa only)

  1. Plants and bulbs are only shipped on Mondays after placement of order.
  2. Plants and bulbs order cut-off time is 12pm on a Saturday, otherwise the orders will be sent the following Monday.

Shipping schedule (Clivia seed only)

  1.  Seeds are harvested in June and sent out from July of the same year. You will be notified via email of the order being shipped. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to track their order using the selected couriers parcel tracking service on their website.
  2. For orders within the South African border track your seed order via the Courier guy Click here to track your order.

Payments (for all orders)

  1. All payment will be completed via our secure online payment partners Payfast & Paystack.
  2. A PayPal option is also available (for international seed orders only)
  3. If you are having any issues with payment please feel free to use the Contact Us form or WhatsApp us on +27 (0) 81 711 0250 and we will gladly assist. 

Refund Policy

No refunds are issued once an order has been placed/confirmed/paid. 

Damages

Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us within 48 hours if you are not satisfied with the condition of your plants (within reason), or if you have received the incorrect order.

24-hour Return Policy

Customers have 24 hours after receiving an order to notify us about any issues and request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your order must be in the same condition that you received it, and in its original packaging.

To log a return, you can contact us at info@utopiaclivias.co.za or via WhatsApp on 081 711 0250. If your return is accepted, we will send you instructions on the pick-up of your parcel. Orders returned without prior approval or first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Refunds

We will notify you once we have received and inspected your returned order and liaise with the customer whether the returned goods are approved for a refund or not.  If approved, you’ll be refunded on your original payment method. 

Please note: The refund process takes a number of business days to process and for the money to reflect in your bank or credit card account.

An order will not be refunded due to customer negligence on the health of the seed, seedlings, mature plants or bulbs. It is the responsibility of the customer to understand the importance of looking after your seed, seedlings, mature plants or bulbs. You can find all the relevant information on our website.

Utopia Clivias takes no responsibility for any courier issues or mishaps/mistakes/blunders with the courier company. Once the order leaves our premises, we do not accept responsibility for anything that occurs during transport and this responsibility falls on to the customer as per our Terms and Conditions.  Please refer to our full Terms and Conditions on the website. 

 

Clivia seed terms and conditions (For international client only)

  1. A Phytosanitary certificate option is available for required countries at checkout. 
    1. USA Customers Only:
      1. A Small Seed Lot Import Permit is mandatory.
      2. It is your responsibility to arrange forwarding of your parcels from the inspection stations to your home address after inspection. 
      3. The shipping fees only cover delivery to the inspection stations. 
      4. State your Green & Yellow label number on checkout.
  2. Unforeseen costs may occur when importing seed and plants from South Africa, such as a customs holding, release fees or an import tax fee, all unforeseen costs will be liable to the purchaser.

      1. We do not accept any liability for the risks associated with shipping and the risks remain the liability of the purchaser. These risks include: destroying of parcels by officials or port officers, or any lost in transit packages.

Clivia seedling, clivia plant, bulbous plants packaging policy (for all orders)

  1. All plants, seedlings & bulbous plants are packed fresh, healthy and with good roots and/or bulbs. All plants, bulbs & seedlings are removed from their soil, washed and packed in boxes with the utmost care to not damage any roots or leaves during transit. Bulbous plants are washed with leaves and roots trimmed for packing.

Clivia pollination policy (for all clivia seed and clivia seedling orders)

  1. To ensure fresh, mature seeds and to improve germination, we only harvest our seeds in June and therefore; seeds will only be shipped at the end of July of the same year. Although plants are isolated during pollination and flowers are hand pollinated, we cannot guarantee the outcome of the clivia seed and seedling crosses. Clivia seeds are thoroughly cleaned and free of mould and fungus.
