The Legacy of Tol’s Bronze
Tol’s Bronze originated from an unmarked seed gifted in 1997 to the late Johan (Tol) Mostert by Mr. Nakamura. This particular seed batch is the same origin as the well-known Star Green and its siblings, making it a pivotal foundation in modern Clivia breeding.
Over the years, Tol’s Bronze has produced a number of exceptional bronze-colored Clivias, solidifying its reputation as a valuable breeding parent. Notably, it served as the pollen parent to the celebrated Emerald Eye.
Building on this rich lineage, Utopia Clivias has developed a new series—“The Bronze Age”—derived directly from Tol’s Bronze. This collection showcases the depth, beauty, and breeding potential that continue to emerge from this historic genetic line.
